In a video confession following his arrest, Abdullah disclosed startling details that further validate longstanding concerns about Afghanistan’s role as a haven for militants targeting Pakistan. He admitted to having used Afghan territory as a base for orchestrating terrorist activities against Pakistan, thus shedding light on the broader network of Afghan militants being exploited by TTP to destabilize the region.

, ’ , revealed that he had undergone rigorous training in his hometown. His training was specifically tailored to carrying out attacks on Pakistani soil, with a particular focus on the use of improvised explosive devices (IEDs). He was among a group of 34 individuals, all similarly trained, who were tasked with conducting coordinated assaults against various locations in Pakistan.

Abdullah further confessed that he was an expert in IEDs, with a substantial amount of explosives in his possession intended for future attacks. His revelations underscore the ongoing threat posed by Afghan-based militants who continue to infiltrate Pakistan with the aim of causing widespread violence and instability.

This development adds to the mounting evidence of Afghanistan’s involvement in cross-border terrorism, a fact that Afghan authorities have repeatedly denied despite growing proof. The arrest and confession of Abdullah offer yet another example of how militant elements within Afghanistan are being mobilized by the TTP to carry out their agenda of terror against Pakistan.

As Pakistan continues to strengthen its border security and counter-terrorism measures, the international community is urged to recognize the seriousness of this issue and to hold accountable those who enable and support such destabilizing activities.
