Juvenile Abduction Case in Takht Bhai, Mardan: Two Children Rescued and Perpetrator Executed
In a distressing case of juvenile abduction, two children—Sadia, daughter of Zarghun Shah, aged 12, and Mossa, son of Shah Khalid, aged 5—were abducted a week ago from Takht Bhai, Mardan, by an Afghan national identified as Zia ul Haq. The abducted children were transported to Khost, Afghanistan, with the intent of demanding ransom.
Through the coordinated efforts of Pakistan’s Intelligence Bureau, Military Intelligence, and Afghanistan’s General Directorate of Intelligence (GDI), the children have been successfully rescued. Afghan authorities have confirmed that the kidnapper, Zia ul Haq, was apprehended and subsequently executed publicly in Khost.
SP Circle Takht Bhai, Mardan, has stated that the rescued children will be handed over to the Afghan embassy tonight. In a related development, the father of Sadia, Zarghun Shah, has been detained by the Mardan police for interrogation, due to his reported close association with the kidnapper, Zia ul Haq.
