During a successful intelligence-based operation by Pakistani security forces in the Kurram district, two wanted terrorists Hafeez ur Rehman and Wajid Gul were killed. Both were involved in the brutal killing of schoolteachers and had bounties of Rs. 5 million each on their heads.
According to security sources, the two militants were responsible for the 2023 Teri Mangal attack, in which five school teachers were martyred. During the exchange of fire in today’s operation, one local civilian sustained a gunshot wound to the leg.
Authorities revealed that a total of five suspects were wanted in connection with the attack. Two have now been neutralized, while efforts to apprehend the remaining three are actively underway.
Security forces have affirmed that operations will continue until every last terrorist is eliminated, and further steps are being taken to maintain peace and stability in the area.
